For our founder Joe Di Gangi, building ELANA Financial & Settlement Architects has been a work in progress for over 35 years. Over those years, Joe created a business model that he now shares with highly skilled settlement consultants throughout the United States. Joe and his recently deceased partner, Michael Leary have shared their knowledge, skills, training techniques and business building ability to create the most unique group of highly skilled Settlement Architects™ in the country as members the ELANA Financial & Settlement Architects™ Planning team.

As a Certified Financial Planner, Certified Structured Settlement Consultant, former Litigation Supervisor, Large Case Negotiator, and President of a National Structured Settlement Company Joe has used his experience and background in a way that uniquely combines the best of the traditional financial planning industry with the specialized planning approach inside the settlement planning industry. His work has been recognized nationally for its high level fiduciary approach and ethical standards. The settlement planning bar has been raised significantly through his unique needs-based comprehensive settlement planning approach now known as the ELANA Level 5 Planning Process™.

In his previous role as a member of the Legislation and Regulation Committee of the National Structured Settlement Trade Association Joe was involved in the formation of policy and activities inside the settlement industry and outside the industry when working with Congress and other government entities for the betterment of injury victims throughout the country.

Joe is currently the President of the Society of Settlement Planners, a professional organization who's members are dedicated, product neutral settlement planners. The group promotes client's needs based education, training, and practice standards. As president of the Society of Settlement Planners, Joe works tirelessly to help improve professionalism and client advocacy in a sometimes fragmented industry.

Typical benefactors of Joe’s unique planning approach include the catastrophically injured, their loved ones, divorcing families, Lottery Winners, and legal representatives of all types and practice focus.
